Burglar arrested

In the early hours of Friday 18th September a burglar gained access to Gym Box on Francis Street. He stole several items worth hundreds of pounds. The crime was reported to Police and brought to the attention your local ward team on Saturday morning. 

CCTV enquiries were conducted at the site and an image of the suspect was immediately shared among the team as it conducted foot patrols across the ward. At around 1630 the suspect was spotted on Victoria Street still wearing the distinctive long coat worn at the time of the burglary and the brand new pair of trainers he had stolen from the gym. Once officers were sure this was the same person he was arrested and taken to Hammersmith Police Station. He has subsequently been bailed pending further investigation and with conditions to attend Hammersmith Police Station everyday until December 15th 2026.

The team will continue to act as swiftly as possible in the investigation of local crime. This arrest was the result of a pro-active response to a local crime report, a quick follow up and excellent operational team work on the street.
